The Greenest Office is a first-of-its-kind competition which celebrates businesses in Northwest Arkansas that have implemented sustainable and conservation practices as a company culture.
According to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, a green office is one that “takes into account employee behavior and innovation as well as energy efficiency and conservation. It’s about people, policy and practices; not just windows and walls.”
Winners will be awarded in five categories. Entrants will be judged by an independent panel of "green" professionals including:
- Tim Snell, associate state director for water resources for The Nature Conservancy and a past GO judge;
- Tim Key, owner Key Architecture Inc. and a previous GO honoree;
- Rand Waddoups, senior director of strategy and sustainability, Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Honored companies will be featured in the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Sustainable Practices issue, available in July.
