Here is our list of the “Top 15 Cities On Earth Day”

1. New York— EarthFair 2009 – April 24—25
· A two-day festival of art, music and the environment on Vanderbilt Avenue & in Vanderbilt Hall. A large exhibit area highlighting sponsors, other green businesses, organic food and environmental groups will include interactive displays that will not only educate, but provide an opportunity to take positive action for our environment. EarthFair also features live musical entertainment including numerous well-known performers and some New YorkCity-based bands.

2. Los Angeles— World Fest 2009 Earth Day Festival – May 16th 2009, 10am—6:30pm
· The WorldFest 2009 Earth Day Festival will be held at the beautiful outdoor setting of Woodley Park in Encino, CA.
· All are welcome to attend a magnificent day filled with entertainment, education and enlightenment. The combination of great music, inspirational speakers, environmental, humanitarian and animal welfare non-profits, kid’s activities and a delicious food court make for an earth-friendly experience that is sure to be inspiring and enjoyable for all.

3. Chicago— North Lake Shore Community Earth Day 2009 – April 25th 2009, 9am—4:30pm
· Loyola University Chicago is hosting the North Lake Shore Community Earth Day 2009.
· The theme of 2009 is “A simple call to action,” and the event will take place at the Quinlan Life Sciences Building on 1050 W. Sheridan Road. It is a joint effort by North Lake Shore communities to feature displays and guest speakers regarding local endeavors to tackle environmental issues.

4. Nashville— Centennial Park – Saturday, April 18, 2009, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
· Environmental exhibits and workshops on clean air, water, foodand farming, cooking demonstrations, organic gardening and much more
· Youth activities
· Live music

5. Philadelphia— Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (Formerly West River Drive),with the start/finish line across from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. – Saturday, April 18, 2009, 7:30am—?
· 5K Run
· Online Registration is now available.

6. Phoenix— Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Phoenix – Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 11am— 1:30pm
· highlight recycling and sustainability options available for the business community of Phoenix
· booths from companies involved in:
· paper recycling
· electronics
· toner cartridge recycling

7. San Antonio— Woodlawn Lake Park – Saturday, April 18, 2009, 10am—4pm
· Event will include:
· Entertainment stages
· Food (vegetarian) and beverage booths
· Tree-planting demonstrations
· 5K run
· Workshops
· Seminars demonstrating various energy and conservation ideas techniques

8. San Diego—EarthFair 2009 Balboa Park – Sunday, April 19, 2009, 10am—5pm
